Chinese courts have been sending four people to prison for distributing the software Windows XP ‘Tomato Garden’.
As quoted from Reuters, Saturday (22/8/2009), four Chinese nationals have been indicted guilty to piracy. Hong Lei, who called the author, punishable by three years and six months imprisonment.
One person co-Lei get the same punishment. Meanwhile, two more people be imprisonment of two years.
Together with three colleagues, Lei called pirate software from Microsoft Windows XP, and give the name ‘Tomato Garden’ in the software. Version ‘Tomato Garden’ is crippling Authentication and certification system that is used to flush piracy.
