The Microsoft Copilot app enables users to pose questions, compose text, and generate images using artificial intelligence.
A few days after launching the Copilot app on Android, Microsoft has now released the app for its AI chatbot on iOS and iPadOS. Users can download both versions of the app from the Apple App Store.
The app provides users with access to Microsoft Copilot, formerly known as Bing Chat, and operates in a manner similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT mobile app. Alongside features such as asking questions, drafting emails, and summarizing text, users can also generate images using an integration with the text-to-image generator DALL-E3.
In contrast to the free version of ChatGPT powered by GPT-3.5, Copilot offers access to GPT-4, the latest large language model (LLM) developed by OpenAI, without requiring a subscription payment.
Microsoft is shifting towards providing a standalone experience akin to ChatGPT with the rebranding of Bing Chat to Copilot. As part of this move, the company has introduced apps for Copilot on both Android and ios (Apple devices), alongside a distinct web experience separate from Bing.
